Ohio State Football: Terrelle Pryor Plight Shows Absurdity of NCAA Amateurism | Bleacher Report

Its ridiculous the NCAA doesn't pay these athletes who are bringing in billions of dollars to division one and these schools who pay their coaches 5 to 10mm on their ability to get these kids to come to their school.  What a Joke, he broke a rule not a law by selling his football pants for 3000 to pay his mother's rent and heat in the dead of winter.  What a bad kid kid Pryor is and basically if he has his senior year he probably goes in the 1st round in this year's draft.  I have my own problems with Pryor but that is on the football field.  Bottom line major college athletes should be getting paid and not that cost of living BS the college analysts have been pushing.  Let the Alumni or school pay them and donate to the school for non-major college athletes or student only scholarship.  Tattoos don't even get me started on that.  For those who say they are amateurs fine don't let the schools get compensated for television contracts.

The Urban Effect "J.T. Barrett To Ohio State: QB Prospect In Class Of 2013 Passes On LSU For Buckeyes"

The Urban effect is continuing to have an impact on Ohio State football.  Early in Tressell tenure the Buckeyes were attracting more prospects nationwide as time went on it seemed they were missing on those top prospects.  With Urban Meyer and his National, SEC, and Ohio connections Ohio State is poised to not only get their share but a healthy share of top players.  Fortunately he is in the state Ohio which is in the big 4 states for prospects and Florida, Texas, & California being the other states.

That's for sure "Commentary: Ohio State receivers still have a lot to prove - Sports - The Lantern - Ohio State University"

Last year I didn't see a lot of separation or plays made by WR and with Posey gone there has to be an improvement by the current WR and incoming class.  There were a lot of missed throws but drop passes as well.

Work to do "Ohio State Football: Spring Game Position Battles to Watch | Bleacher Report"

Urban Meyer has his work cut out for him but he has a young quaterback, good runing backs and a stacked defensive line to build on.  If he can get his LB's healthy he has some nice pieces in the DB.  They lack production in the passing game but get behind this team with their running game and defensive line it will be a long day in the Big Ten when facing OSU!

Scout.com: Time To Grow For Pryor

Scout.com: Time To Grow For Pryor

I was very Disapointed in the Sugar bowl not because Ohio State lost but it seemed that Pryor
regressed from the end of the season to the bowl game. You would think will all those practices he would develop as a passer. Tressel can't be afraid to coach this guy. he must have pulled off and not followed through on a number of passes and boy did it show. While he may have had good numbers in terms of passing efficiency most of that was on the perimeter and outside the number showing his inability to read coverages. But then again you have a true freshman who is an Athletic QB and he was trying hard to be more of passer. This year he needs to be more decisive and putting the pressure on the defense instead of putting it all on his athletic ability.

He has a big tight end comming in which I think every QB needs especially a developing one and he needs sure handed receivers that he believe can make a play. For 20 years we have seen the development of the athletic QB but outside of Steve Young they are just not consistent enough to win in the big games in the NFL. In College with the spread offense they are opportunities but I don't think they should get away from running standard eye formation and play action which will help Pryor develop.

If Brandon Saine is healthy they will have a consistent running game but they will have to establish each and every game.

As Pryor goes into this second season he will be more unconscious competent instead of thinking all the time which is holding him back for now. He has all the tools to be successful at this level and the next one. My hope is that he will try to get better and stay all 4 years and not fall into the trap of Vince Young, Michael Vick and Demarcus Russell who were all number 1's or top five picks never developed or were coached because of their athleticism.
